TANTOTANTO is named after an ancient Japanes dagger, often used by the samurais' wives to protect their body and honour. The cuts operated on the solid matter are exhibited like wounds, as signs of a bloody hand-to-hand combat: its value is added by subtraction, the colour outlines an irregular, faceted identity. TANTO is a modular system of MDF containers with 45° shape and push opening. The single modules, available either with or without a cut and featuring two internal shelves, can be or stacked in a wide range of configurations. It comes with a matt finish, in colours to be chosen within the collection palette. The angular cuts can be customized with contrasting colours. Design: Giuseppe Pulvirenti, Gandolfo David |
