TOUMEI COLLECTION

about gallery specifiche

Although concealed, omitted or forgotten, the origins reveal themselves in the evidence of features, in the singularity of accents, in the veracity of habits and emotional impulses; similarly, those of TOUMEI (the Japanese for transparency) are glass shapes that morphe while keeping the genes of a common descent: inspired from the concreteness of the Sardinian archaic culture, they leverage their aesthetical declination for aspiring to the status of contemporary archetypes.

TOUMEI is a collection of borosilicate glass, made using craft production techniques.

Histoire d'O
An unbroken continuity of smooth and inflexible lines, a subtle reference to stories of ties and voluptuousness.

Drop
An anticipation of water when it's still thirst, mimetic matter striving for fluidity.

Mancosa
The stylization of shapes born with a musical bent; a light hint to an original polyphony.

Sospeso
Not on earth, neither in the skyes: silhouettes waving between basic functionality and ideal inclination.

Bowl + Onda
The impetus turning into desolate undertow, the periodicity of streams and moods: a moment of lull for the soul and the tides rushes.

Atravéz
The ostentation of a disarming purity, the truth over transparency; the oppennes without filters of those who appear on the outside as they are inside.

Tea4Two
The celebration of moments of pursued idleness, a pretious excuse for sipping chat and confidence.

Domo
For the Sardinian a reference to familiarity, for the Japanese a call for formality; a play on etymology for representing contrasting attitudes.

Rosaspina
A reminiscence of princely fables, an implied invitation to the highest regard; the elevation
of any flower to the top rank.
